Do you take requests/commissions?Yes, I will occasionally accept commissions; however, I accept the commission based on the request for the specific subject, composition, and the amount of time needed to complete the commission. I know this sounds harsh, but let me explain. Being a wife, a mom, and a nurse takes up a lot of my time. Being an artist is my hobby, not my full time job. I paint on my free time, which these days I seem to be far and few between. I paint because it helps me. It relieves the stress of everyday life, and takes me to my "happy place" if you will. I paint things that I want to and I am excited about. If I take on a commission that will take far too long, or I am not excited to about, then my hobby becomes a job, and I will lose the purpose I had to begin with. I hope you can understand why sometimes I will turn down a commission, but always feel free to ask and please contact me for more info.

What are prints?Prints are reproductions or copies of the originals. Once an original is finished, I photograph it and match it to the original. I create a digital file and it is sent off to the print shop to be reproduced and printed on premium fine art paper (hot press) or canvas.

What is the difference between the paper and canvas prints? While both types of prints are extremely high quality, the canvas is more durable and more modern (in my opinion); especially when framed in a float frame. The paper print is printed on heavy stock hot press paper with a matte finish. The canvas prints are typically more expressive, but can be displayed with or without a frame, as they come with the hanging wire on the back. Fine art paper prints all come with a 1 inch border around them to allow for future matting and framing. This 1 inch boarder is in addition to the ordered print size.
